NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL INTEREST GROUP
ZUNO in its quest to strengthen nursing and midwifery professions has introduced a concept of professional interest groups.
So far we have the following Professional Interest groups that are functional:
1. Zambia Operating Theatre Professional Interest Group – Sitting chairperson is Judith Munthali
2. Midwifery Interest Group – Sitting Chairperson is David Mbewe
3. Africa Midwives Research Network – Sitting Chairperson is Dr. Margaret Maimbolwa
4. Nursing Education Forum – Sitting Chairperson is Mr. Elson Muulu
ZUNO is determined to encourage formation of Professional Interest Groups such as:
•Ophthalmic Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Public Health Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Mental Health Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Occupation Health Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Intensive Care Unit Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Oncology Nurses Professional Interest Group
•Paediatricts Nurses Professional Interest Group
It is hoped that in 2010 three (3) more will be brought on board.
